I’d like to preface that I found a lot of good information in the post and enjoyed the read! Finding something that works, and tweaking it into something new is something I think I’ll try for certain aspects, but I’d like to challenge this a little bit.
10 years from now, what is your plan? Will you be recycling all the same old information and I’ll be reading the same post retitled as, “Old ideas are just as good as new ideas and they require less time. Here’s a pie chart proving this.”
Along with your long term plan, my other question is, aside from making money, how is this process improving you and your writing? I think in the long run this could actually do you a disservice.
Hey Matt, I appreciate the perspective. I disagree but that's because I don't view it that rigidly. Recycling ideas doesn't only mean reposting the same thing. I can write about the same THING a dozen different ways. In terms of improving my writing? I can take something I wrote a year ago, refine it, improve it, improve the headline, lead, the flow, the big idea. I think our history can positively influence what we do in the future. I don't view things in a fixed way though so I an see how it could be interpreted that way.
Yes, if we just use AI to spin the same thing for 10 years? That is not likely optimal.
Ok, I understand more clearly your point and agree. I did misread and took it more of a recycle old posts and just slap a new title on it. I’m totally on board with revising old work into new improved pieces.
Repurposing content is a great strategy for growth, especially for short-form content. People forget what you publish. Thanks for sharing this, Landon.

Thanks for taking the time to read Mark :)
Great share Landon! So true, figure out what you want to emphasize and write about it, help others with your point of view and expertise!
Thanks for reading Jill!
😊
Thanks for sharing this great strategy, Landon!
Doing something similar myself too, where I start with my newsletter post and turn each into several more notes.
I’d say everyone should consider repurposing their content more often.
Most of your audience might not have seen it before, or even if they have, it’s still a good move to share your best stuff.
A win-win both ways.
You nailed it, most people don't see it. Share it more!
This is so helpful!! Thank you for your strategy, Landon. I’ll spend a lot less time trying to figure this out myself!
You're welcome Monica!
This is pure gold. Thank you 🙏🏾
Thank you :)
Your work has given me so much clarity here on Substack. Truly valuable. Thank you, Landon!
Awe Katie! That makes me so happy to hear!!
