I've been in business for nearly 2 decades so there was also a business/marketing angle to my content. But 2 years ago it was much more sporadic. It gradually got more focused to what it is today.
This system beautifully captures how creating a disciplined routine can paradoxically lead to more creative freedom, and it makes me wonder how we can apply this principle of "batching" and building a buffer to other areas of life, like managing a busy schedule or our emotional well-being.
Wow, I really appreciate this! I’m planning to give it a try. I usually have plenty of content ideas, but the batching insight — and how patterns emerge — really stood out. I’m new to Substack but have made content elsewhere, and I think I’ve been missing intention and cohesion. Would you like me to share how it goes?
Sounds heavenly Landon. As you mentioned the beauty of this system is that it seems to work well for your goals and lifestyle.
I think that makes all of the difference. I wrote on LinkedIn for lead gen and my normal weekly ritual is similar to yours.
Friday = coffee shops, reading, writing, and being around people and inspiration. Write my post drafts for the week, then the following week they get edited and scheduled.
Really does take the pressure off and let you create from a place of freedom rather than scarcity.
Cheers man. Thanks for giving us a little insight into your journey and success so far. ❤️🙏🏾
Landon thank you for this inspiration. I desperately need a structure that will get me away from the dread of having to come up with content to post and free me up to really create. I posted this note this morning: https://substack.com/@vignettesoflife/note/c-153028265?r=5ieznh&utm_medium=ios&utm_source=notes-share-action
Awesome info in this post. From inception till now, did you start off from a niche, or did you gradually narrow it down?

Thanks for sharing the solid & simple tools & timeline. It really can be this easy if we don't overthink it!
Ohh yes we sure can!
Incredible article. My goal with writing becomes blocked by the lack of system in place. Really glad I read this. 🙌
So happy I could bring clarity!

Hey! Love it. I truly hope it helps or is the gateway to finding your ideal routine. And always be open to it evolving.
