This resonates! Both for me and in what I've witnessed in others through observation (and perhaps some assumptions)...As I was reading, I couldn't help but question how the nurtured idea of 'success' and what it takes to be successful come into play here.

I had thoughts like: Would I want to be doing so many things consistently if I wasn't told I had to in order to be happy, successful, etc?

Is it possible to know myself so well that I can be inconsistent by society's standards but consistent in paying attention to what fulfills me in my life?

Does consistent have to be constant?

If I let my body do the deciding, would my brain talk me out of consistency the way that it usually does? Is consistency actually easier when it's aligned than my brain wants it to seem? Perhaps simplification, as you've expressed, is really the way...

Thank you for the thoughtful comment. I completely agree that there is a layer of complexity when it comes to societal ideas of "success" and it is often perpetuated by what we see in the media.

I love the thought on if consistency needs to be constant, that is beautiful. We are all consistent with certain things in our lives so consistency in its most basic form is constant. It is when we are trying consistency to specific outcomes that it comes into question. Ex: Content Creation in order to achieve XYZ outcome.

I will be doing follow ups on this because there is much to unpack here especially with shame that can be involved when are start and stop or struggle with consistency in certain actions.

I may argue that being consistent with something you do not enjoy, and is not aligned, may always feel like your forcing it. The things we are often the most consistent are unconscious (waking up) or that we truly enjoy (going to the gym for me). And if I can find a way to tie back my business outcomes to things I truly enjoy doing and bridge them to a higher purpose - that is where I theorize we can achieve what we're looking for.
