As the saying goes, "You've hit the nail on the head." I've saved this post for reflection.
As someone who's worked in digital marketing for 17 years, I wish marketing leaders would grasp the concepts of truth and resonance along with putting themselves in their customers or clients shoes.
But nope.
They focus on website color schemes, what the competition is doing, and on and on. These are important too. But if your sales and engagement suck, it's time to start asking the dreaded question, "Why?" Does it put some people on the defensive? Yeah, but sometimes it's the only way to shake things up. Sometimes, you need to bring a little fire to the game to get things moving in the right direction.
Great article and so glad to see it. I exist in two worlds. I have a business and then I do these things on line. The business has slowed and I have often thought how immune people in these social networks seem to be from all the fear that is out in the marketplace.
Personally, I believe human behavior is all connected. I see this running ads. Economy? Politics? Natural disasters? All impact the way people interact online, especially when making purchases.
Thinking through scenarios rather than pain points is an “aha” moment for me!
I agree, thinking about the scenario, situation, and how it show's up in someone's daily life allows you to craft great messaging.
As a copywriter, this was my journey.
Going from trying to impress, to being honest about what I could do.
Not insulting intelligence is the best way to win trust.
You nailed it. That is something people overlook when writing.
Yep, just be honest from the get-go. Why try to be someone you're not?
Ohh the answer to that could be a ted talk ;-)
So glad to read this Landon! Great work!
Thank you thank you!

Thank you for taking the time to read!
I totally agree with you. If you could just write from your heart and not chase the algorithm, a lot of writers would get a lot more traction.
Sorry, I don't have WhatsApp. Is there any other way?
