It's how I refer to posts that don't show on your profile. It's a term from Facebook ads, and I use it here :) When you send an email to your subscribers on substack but it isn't posted to your publication - I refer to that as a "dark post."
Subscribers only get notifications for "Posts", not Notes. So they wouldn't be getting daily notifications. But on the same note, I know many people that post articles daily, successfully. So it is possible.
Solid strategy. I've been thinking of implementing something similar because I want to automate emails to do the selling for me, and Substack cannot do that.

Once you bolt on Kit (or alternatives) you can start to have this run on autopilot. Then you can still utilize drop posts on Substack 1-2x per month.
