I like and can follow the general ideas here. I do not do video, don't like it, am uncomfortable with the whole idea. I'm 75 years old--I'm a great writer. How can this be replicated as a written campaign, or can it be?

For sure, I am trying to create a simple framework for 'faceless' ads too. Because you're not alone!! We can definitely create ads that don't use videos. The process is effectively the same just instead of videos we use images. I wrote a guide on creative here, https://modernmediabuying.substack.com/p/how-top-brands-scale-facebook-ads-with-creative and about mid way through I give examples of creative concepts. It will depend on what you're promoting within the ad, but my usual starting point is showing a digital representation of the 'thing' they're downloading with copy on it as a hook.
