If It Was Easy, Wouldn’t You Actually Enjoy It?
We don’t need to struggle to build our business.
I encourage you to ask yourself this simple yet profound question:
What if it was easy?
Take a moment to wade through the depth of what that really means. Let your mind wander.
What would your days look like?
What would you spend your time on?
What would you stop spending your time on?
I first posed this question to a client who was on the brink of burnout. They described their situation in a raw, unfiltered way: “I feel like I’m whoring myself out just to pay the bills.”
Their energy was gone. Completely drained. And because of that:
Content wasn’t being posted.
Leads weren’t being nurtured.
Emails weren’t being sent to their list.
Their community wasn’t being built or filled.
Most importantly, their time wasn’t being spent on what they were truly passionate about—or what drove their business forward. It was a cycle that fed itself, and not in a good way.
So, I asked: What if all you had to do was send a daily email?
They lit up immediately:
"Dude, that’s all I want to do! It’s literally my favorite thing."
You see, if all they had to do was write and send a daily email, their work would become easy.
For this client, Instagram and video content were not easy. Every single post felt like an uphill battle.
Generating ideas.
Writing scripts.
Filming.
Editing.
Adding captions.
Posting every day.
And that was just the workflow. Add in real-life challenges like kids, sports games, and dance recitals, and suddenly "posting a video a day" wasn’t just hard—it was impossible.
But writing? Writing was easy. Writing could be done anywhere.
So, we created a simple strategy that allowed them to focus exclusively on writing and emailing daily.
I don’t believe business has to be difficult.
More often than not, the struggle comes from a constraint—whether that’s a misaligned plan, an unrealistic timeline, or the belief that your business has to look like someone else’s.
I revisit this question often: What if it was easy?
And then I ask myself:
What’s the one thing I can do consistently every day?
What puzzle pieces need to fall into place to make that a reality?
This simple question transformed my business—not through an overnight income leap, but through an energetic shift. And that shift rippled outward, touching everything, including my relationship with my wife.
If you’re feeling burned out, overwhelmed, or stuck in a cycle of “knowing what to do but never quite doing it,” ask yourself:
What if it was easy?
How can you simplify your business?
We don’t need to struggle.
Hope this helps.

It's so interesting how the brain plays tricks. I wonder how many read the headline and thought it said .."if it was easy, would you actually enjoy it" because easy equals " too simple mustn't work" and enjoyment equals "pleasure so mustn't be work". If we only just flip that mindset like you say Landon. Thanks again 🙏
Great read man.. thanks for sharing your experience.
